Students United

Students United is a student coalition representing and advocating for the students attending Minnesota State universities. Our work focuses on ensuring students have a higher education experience that is rooted in students' voices, tangible advocacy for students (affordable higher education, increase scholarship/grants access, increased access to mental health and basic needs), and inclusive spaces for all people involved in our work. 

This year, our Give to the Max - United 2 Give campaign - will be focused on our Community Leader Fellowship program.

The fellowship invites Minnesota State University students to participate in a paid internship and professional development program in a cohort with their peers from across the state. During this fellowship, the students work alongside Students United staff to expand their professional skills and network in various career paths, including government relations, financial management, communications, advocacy, and more. The fellows also learn alongside each other during development sessions that center on five core topics: JEDI (Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion), antiracism, principles of advocacy, financial literacy, and nonprofit management. The Community Leader Fellowship program brings together students from diverse backgrounds and academic interests to create communities of people who collectively work towards creating a better future.

Our goal is to expand this program in the future to allow more students to experience the Community Leaders Fellowship.
