St. Paul Central High School Theatre Boosters

The St. Paul Central High School theatre program is a vibrant community of student actors, technicians, musicians, and dedicated teachers. 

This has been a difficult time. However, our community has shown that we care about each other.  Our actions make  a difference in how  show up for one another in crisis. We want our children to be safe and we want them to know they belong. Here, at Central High School Theatre, we say to our students: you matter.

This means that diversity is not a liability, but is a gift here in our theatre that we treasure. When we stand together, we see the ripples, demonstrated in this year's spring production of Emma, that we each can make to care for one another. Most high schools in MN and across our nation require kids to pay fees in order to participate in a theatre production. At Central, we believe that all kids should have access to the arts.

Each school year, Central Theatre puts on three productions. While the district does pay for a large percentage of the creative team, the cost to put on several productions per year is not funded by the district. This means that all of our expenses must be fully covered by outside sources.  

We need your help! In a time where much can feel overwhelming, your gift will make a profound difference.

Your donation goes directly to cover the cost of:  

•  sponsorships for students to ensure everyone has access to the performing arts

•  stipends to pay for the expertise of a choreographer, tech director, costumer, and props master.

•  securing the rights for each production 

•  costumes (Sourcing and/or making these costumes takes time,  dedication, and sufficient funds)

•  set construction pieces and paint supplies (All of the wood, hardware, paint, and extraneous supplies need to be sourced and the set efficiently built for maximum use of the supplies that we have.)
