St. Dominic's strives to advance the Kingdom of God on earth through lives of service to members of our parish, school, community and world.

St. Dominic Church traces its origins to the year 1858 when the first Mass in the area was offered in a private home. In 1869 the first church was built and the parish received its first regular pastor. A brick Romanesque church was completed in 1914, and the present church buiding was completed in 1986.

Our parish mission statement describes us well as a Christian Community committed to serving our community and living the mission of Jesus Christ.

The parish now serves the spiritual needs of 1,400 registered households. We are committed to:

  • Worship and Sacrament
  • Education & Faith Formation
  • Community
  • Ministry

St. Dominic School opened as Rosary School in 1927. Today, the school continues to provide a rigorous academic curriculum, a strong sense of community, and a dedication to spiritual development. Quality teachers lead classrooms and special programs; Mass is attended weekly, planned by the different grades; and families become a part of the school community.  St. Dominic School encourages students to use their God given talents to serve the Church, community, and the world, respecting the dignity and differences of each person.

Approximately 135 students, Catholic and non-Catholic, will attend grades Pre-school-8 during the 2014-15 school year.
