Help support the St. Croix Railroad
With some 10 acres of land south of Hudson, Wisconsin, the SCRR maintains a facility with three miniature railroads for the operation of equipment on 1-1/4", 2-1/2", 3-1/2", 4-3/4", 5" and 7-1/2" gauge lines; we operate small scale live steam, gasoline, diesel and electric equipment on all these tracks, sometimes hauling scale trains, sometimes entertaining guests with rides.
Not an amusement park, rather based in the hobby of Model Engineering where people build and operate equipment, teaching and learning practical skills in metalwork, woodwork and construction. People of all ages come and participate to learn about the operation of railroads in the past and present day. We open for charter days with schools, social groups and organizations like the Boy - and Girl - scouts, as well as occasional general open days to demonstrate our operations.
As an all volunteer group, all our income is fed back into our property and facilities to improve the operation for everybodys benefit. Income comes from membership dues and donations. Every penny helps us meet our mission, your donation can help !
