St. Albert the Great Catholic Church is a Christian community that works to be a community of faith, a parish family and a caring people. We try to provide a place where people can find meaningful opportunities — both communal and individual — to grow in mature spirituality through all stages of their lives. Our parish encourages broad participation in its ministry and decision-making. Regardless of your age, sex, marital status, income level, physical abilities, racial makeup, sexual orientation, political persuasion or religious background, we want you to feel welcome here.

St. Albert was founded by the Dominican order, and has been served by Dominican priests throughout its history. The priory (rectory) adjoining the church to the north is home to many of the region's Dominican priests and brothers.

About 375 households are registered as members, the majority from Minneapolis' Greater Longfellow Community, where the church buildings are located.

Among our ministries is the We Care Outreach Fund, which provides bus cards and grocery cards to persons in immediate need of help, Meals on Wheels, Creative Ageless Program, which provides a drop-in center for all ages to work with ceramics, play cards and socialize, MN FoodShare, collecting food and money that are donated to Minnehaha Food Shelf, and the other ministries at St. Albert's.

Your generous support allows St. Albert's to continue to preach Christ's message, as seen in both our litiguries and hospitality, and to continue our service to the community through our various ministries.

"Give and it will be given to you. Good measure pressed down, shaken together, running over, will they pour into the fold of your garment. For the measure you measure with will be measured back to you" (Luke 6:38)
