St. Albert the Great Church

St. Albert the Great Catholic Church is a Christian community in the Longfellow neighborhood of Minneapolis. We work to be a community of faith, a parish family and a caring people. Our parish welcomes all regardless of your age, sex, marital status, income level, physical abilities, racial makeup, sexual orientation, political persuasion or religious background to come here to find your spiritual home!

St. Albert was founded by the Dominican order, and has been served by Dominican priests throughout its history. The priory (rectory) adjoining the church to the north is home to many of the region's Dominican priests and brothers.

When you donate to us, we will put that generosity toward our ministries:

The We Care Outreach Fund, which provides gift cards to persons in immediate need of help for food and household needs. Last year we gave out more than 1000 cards. A gift of $10 - $50 will supply either a McDonald's card for a single meal or a larger amount at Target, Cub or Aldi. Our volunteers made 1000s of sandwich meals this year for Agate Housing + Services which stretches their budget further. Our volunteers add a note or artwork to each meal. A gift of $10 makes two meals.

Minnehaha Food Shelf drop site, where we collect food for them to pick up and collect cash donations once a year for them. 

Laudato Si Care for Creation group focuses on Pope Francis's 2015 encyclical letter and our call to care for the environment. They host speakers and an Earth Day Event. They were also encouraging for the installation of solar panels on our school's flat roof. These panels will not just benefit us, but will create an excess of energy for Xcel to use for their other customers.
