St. Croix Montessori School

Founded in 1993, St. Croix Montessori is an independent, private,  AMI (Association Montessori International) recognized school following the educational philosophy of Dr. Maria Montessori. St. Croix Montessori School serves children ages 16 months - 6th grade.  St. Croix Montessori School has a deep understanding of how children develop and the important role that an authentic Montessori education can provide.  At SCMS we focus not only on academic development, but also on the importance of character development aiding in the emergence of empathy and compromise. Our teachers form caring relationships with their children fostering individual interest and curiosity,  developing  critical thinking skills and aiding in the discovery of joyful learning.

Our beautiful campus gives children the ability to interact with their natural surroundings.  Located on 15 beautiful acres in the St. Croix River Valley our school allows children to be responsible for the care of our farm animals which include; mini donkeys, alpacas and chickens.

St. Croix Montessori School is committed to providing a need-based financial aid program to enable all families to consider a Montessori education for their child.

Through the generous support of our donors, we are able to keep tuition affordable and bridge the gap between tuition income and annual operating expenses.  Our Annual Fund supports all that distinguishes our school:  premier Montessori programming for children, dedicated staff, and beautiful grounds and facilities.
