Southside Community Health Services provides affordable and accessible health care services to anyone in need.

Southside Community Health Services (Southside) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, federally qualified health center (FQHC) providing access to primary health care services to anyone in need.

Southside provides patient focused, high quality, culturally competent care with services including medical, dental, vision, behavioral health, and enabling services such as care coordination. The clinic provides affordable, accessible care to over 8,000 patients per year including individuals and families who are low-income, uninsured or under-insured, populations of color, immigrants and refugees. Patients come from throughout the Twin Cities with the majority coming from low-income neighborhoods in south Minneapolis and the nearby southern suburbs.

Southside was founded in 1971 by three VISTA volunteers who identified a need for basic health care for the residents of south Minneapolis. The clinic went through multiple growth periods over the decades due to increasing needs for care. In 1993 Southside began to add services to go out into the community using a mobile dental unit (a "clinic on wheels".) The clinic increased its ability to better meet the growing needs of the community by expanding into multiple clinic sites in the south metro and continues to work to fill the gap in health care by making sure care is available to everyone, regardless of ability to pay.
