Since 1973, volunteers of South Minneapolis Meals on Wheels have been delivering hot, nutritious meals to elderly and disabled residents who have difficulty cooking for themselves.
Today, on the Covid-19 frontline, our volunteers continue to feed our most vulnerable citizens and help them remain safe in their homes. Even more so than before, SMMOW may be the only human contact many of our clients see on a daily basis.
The virus makes it more cumbersome for us to keep delivering because it takes more supplies and costs more. And churches that support us are hurting financially.
Your donation will not only help us purchase Personal Protection Equipment -- masks, gloves, sanitizer, etc -- to protect our clients and volunteers. Your help will also make it possible for us to continue delivering tomorrow . . .and the day after, and the day after that, and the day after that . . . .
