Ivy House (formerly Southern MN Crisis Nursery)

Crisis Line: 507.766.6925 (24/7 Hotline)

Ivy House is an independent 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization run by a board of 11 volunteers. In 2015 the founding board members started the process of creating the crisis nursery and on June 19, 2017 we opened the doors to the Ivy House to families.

Our goal is to reduce the risk of child abuse and neglect, increase child safety, and strengthen family functioning and stability by providing a safe home for children to stay, family advocacy, parent education, social support, and referrals to resources to families in crisis.

Mission Statement

Ivy House shares God's love with families by providing a safe and caring place for kids to stay.

Childcare Program

We provide free confidential care for children ages 0-12 for up to 72 hours at a time. We provide structure in order to allow children to feel safe in our environment. Our childcare specialists understand trauma and help kids understand how to navigate their emotions.

Family Advocate Program

Parents who use our services have 1-on-1 access to our family advocate. The Family Advocate builds a relationship with families and works to connect them to resources in our community, provides parenting education, and is an understanding listener.

Clothing and Essential Needs Program

With this program the Ivy House supports families that use our services by giving them items or clothing that they do not have access to such as baby formula, jackets, diapers, blankets etc.
