2023-2024 Fundraising Goals

- Start a computer science and robotics program

- Complete the second year of start-up purchases

Skola is a small and mighty school. We've remodeled and reimagined the school day by putting students in the center of everything we do. We love research about brain development, emotional development and the process of learning and maturing. We're a modern one-room schoolhouse and we're committed to staying small so that we can stay innovative and responsive to students. There is nothing more exciting than students having a close connection to an effective teacher. We want this type of access for all students.

Getting Skola up and running requires unique and intentional start-up purchases. We need furniture, technology, books, and unique supplies to be effective and to function day-to-day within our mission. In order to make our start-up costs more manageable, we have split our needs up into three phases and spread them out over the first three years.

Skola Microschool is a K-8 microschool in Roseville, Minnesota focused on personalized instruction, close relationships, and being outside.

It's the school day reimagined!

A LETTER FROM OUR FOUNDER & EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Hello!

I am so excited to share Skola Microschool with you. Before I start, I want to thank you for taking the time to learn about Skola Microschool. We are an innovative and special place. I believe that children, whole families and entire neighborhoods will be impacted by Skola and I’m so honored that you want to learn more about who we are..

Skola Microschool exists to transform and reimagine the school day. We are here to create a healthy and happy environment where students are seen and find a place to belong.

Skola Microschool prioritizes the beautiful process of spiritual formation, and guides students in their love for Jesus. Ultimately we want students to love learning, master important skills, embrace their imaginations, and use all of these to bless their cities and neighborhoods.

Skola is a Christian school, based in the strong belief that kids (and adults) should spend tons of time outdoors in creation, and experience real learning through play and collaborative projects. We’re so excited to offer a non-traditional classroom experience that taps into students’ natural curiosities and interests, and engages them at their deepest levels of learning.

We need your help lifting Skola off of the ground! We have exciting, strategic start-up ideas that require equipment and hands-on materials to facilitate authentic learning in all subject areas.

Additionally, our deepest hope is that, in the near future, we can offer Skola Microschool to families and children who would never be able to afford a small, private, Christian education. We want students, specifically those affected by the achievement gap, to be seen in a way that maybe they haven’t yet, and that those particular students could experience a non-traditional classroom that boosts their learning so they can reach their God-given potential. Our sincere hope is to offer scholarships by September of 2024.

We have big dreams and groundbreaking ideas. We truly believe that Skola can help transform and re-imagine education for our students, but we need you to help us reach our goals..

Thank you so much for your financial support. I am really excited and so grateful for your help.

Sincerely,

Kristin Fink
