This year, we are shifting our focus to dive into the development of a few projects that have been of interest of us for a while.
- We're looking into hosting another workshop with Intimacy Directors International, in response not only to our commitment to stage safety, but also the overwhelmingly supportive community response to our IDI workshop last May.
- We are also still working on the annual Brawl of America, the only stage combat workshop in Minnesota endorsed by the Society of American Fight Directors. Held every year on the last weekend in May, this two-day workshop is an excellent training opportunity for performers of all levels of experience.
- Some of our greatest works have come out of collaborative devising processes focused on stories that rarely get to see the stage. We have a host of myths, legends, and historical inspirations for shows that can keep us busy for a long time, and we're excited to start the ball rolling on our next one with a workshop-rehearsal early in the year.
-Lastly, in a continuing effort to be a platform for new works, in 2019 we'll be hosting a staged reading and subsequent full production of The Continuing Adventures of John Blade, Superspy by Kyle Encinas. It's a fast-paced, witty, genre-savvy homage to the James Bonds and Atomic Blondes we know and love.
