THE SIMPSON FOOD PANTRY IS LOCATED AT 28TH STREET AND 1ST AVENUE SOUTH SERVING THE MINNEAPOLIS WHITTIER NEIGHBORHOOD AND SURROUNDING AREAS AS A PRIMARY FOOD PANTRY.

Simpson Food Pantry is a community-based nonprofit that aims to provide predictable, healthy and culturally relevant food options to our neighbors facing food insecurity. The Food Pantry has been a vital and trusted resource since the 1960’s and the community relies on it more now than ever before; especially due to the lasting-effects from the COVID-19 pandemic, increased prices in groceries, and the George Floyd riots. 

We currently provide food to the community through two food distributions. Every Wednesday and the 2nd and 4th Friday mornings, our food pantry is open to shoppers for dry goods including grains, various non-essentials as well as proteins and dairy.  During this past year we have served 40,000 people between the two distributions; 4 times more than we did pre-pandemic. In the past few years our size has grown from a small 400 sq. foot room to over 3,000 sq. feet in our current building.

Your donations will help bring about the day when all persons will be sufficiently and nutritionally fed.
