Sheltered Reality teaches youth music and performance skills while empowering them to make positive changes in the world through mission.

Sheltered Reality (SR) began in 1996 and has dedicated itself to being a youth-oriented project, where youth members in SR use music and education as a way to reach out to audiences, motivating them to advocate for those in need.  SR's unique percussive approach to performing music inspires the audience members to 'take on the world' and ensures that the message 'doing good is fun' is remembered by all in attendance. 

Nearly 300 people across the midwest have become members of Sheltered Reality and enjoy learning and teaching new music and performance skills.  But they really enjoy the bigger picture of making new friends and going out into the world to do mission projects.  In todays world, youth at school get made fun of when trying to help someone out; in SR, the youth work together to help everyone out by making positive changes in their community.  Bringing a smile to someone's face who is in desperate need is the best way to change the world. 

Sheltered Reality performs in numerous venues reaching out to all types of audiences and entertains them with a strong performance, but then encourages them to reach for their dreams and to help one another in this world we live in.
