Senior Resources provides opportunities that promote health and well-being to the aging population and others in need.

Since 1980 Senior Resources has providing needed services to senior citizens that support independence and healthy life styles.  This goal helps seniors contribute to their communities and stay involvement as useful citizens.  The life experiences and expertise that has been gained by seniors is a vital component for any healthy community. Services to those in need and volunteerism are the corner stones of Senior Resources.

The programs at Senior Resources thrive because of the collaboration with other nonprofits throughout our county that have the same focus of serving those in need.  Coordination of resources helps provide quality initiatives such as Tai Ji Quan, caregiver support groups, and education on living with chronic diseases and offers tools for caregivers. Our four programs consist of transportation, chore services, advocacy and caregiving. In a year, we serve hundreds of seniors, by providing expert support focused on well-being and safe environments.  We provide service to those who want to remain in their own homes as long as possible, but just need a little help.

In 2021 we expect to provide over 2000 trips through volunteer drivers, over 500 hours of chore service for our clients, and at least 600 hours of information and help to over 450 seniors.  With the senior population increasing every year, demand for our services will increase and Senior Resources of Freeborn County will strive to meet these demands.

SENIOR RESOURCES RELIES ON GRANT SUPPORT, BEQUESTS, AND PUBLIC CONTRIBUTIONS.
