Seeds Worth Sowing

Seeds Worth Sowing provides economic support, housing stabilization support, and builds community connections through mutual aid practices and harm reduction techniques.

Founded in 2020 after the tragic murder of George Floyd, we quickly mobilized resources and community efforts to support the vulnerable families that were left without access to crucial stores and transportation services for their children and loved ones who depend on them. Since then, we've became a known resource for unsupported families of all backgrounds and identities to receive holistic, non-invasive support and care. 

Seeds Worth Sowing is building community with Black and brown parents and caregivers so that they can have the tools to stand in their collective power and build the lives they want, need and deserve.  We are dismantling isolation by building a model of community connection and mutual aid where everyone has a sustainable support system where they feel seen, represented, and nurtured. 

Our programs effectively meet community members where they are and ensure the cultural competency and connection is emphasized throughout. We ask you to join us in bringing stability and safety to our most vulnerable by supporting our grassroots-centered programs.
