Schoolcraft Learning Community

Schoolcraft Learning Community is a small K-8 free public charter school in Northern Minnesota. We exist to develop individuals to be self-directed, lifelong learners who have the skills and knowledge to confidently and compassionately navigate the world. Schoolcraft Learning Community focuses on expeditionary, hands-on learning that connects academics to real-world experiences and the outdoor world. Through collaboration, fieldwork, and the Habits of Scholarship, students develop a lifelong love of learning.

Outdoor education is a central part of who we are. It shapes confident, curious learners who know how to navigate the natural with confidence. This year, we are working to strengthen that program in a big way. We hope to purchase canoes, canoeing supplies, and a trailer so students can safely explore our waterways, along with new Nordic cross-country skis and gear that will let them travel our snowy landscapes with confidence and joy. These tools open doors to fieldwork, connection, and real-world learning that stays with students for life.

Your generosity makes this possible. Every gift directly supports outdoor learning experiences that help students grow academically, socially, and creatively. Our goal this year is $10,000, but thanks to a special opportunity, donations may be matched dollar for dollar up to $20,000, doubling the impact of every contribution.
