Gifts to Help Us Grow: Access to healthy and nourishing foods is a basic right for all families and a cornerstone of a thriving community. Cap Agency needs your help to give our neighbors access to nutritious and culturally responsive food this holiday season. Due to inflation, the cost of groceries has risen 16% since last year, straining CAP’s ability to keep our shelves stocked at our Food Shelf. Only a portion of food comes from donations requiring us to purchase the remaining food at a reduced rate.

Inflation isn’t the only thing hitting our families hard this winter, soaring interest rates make first time home buying much harder. Your gifts will help grow our home assistance program, keep a home heated, assist individuals navigating the application processes, and provide a place to gather and grow.

Additionally, our programs include parenting services for struggling families. Your donation today helps a mother access a much needed gas card or a box of diapers for her children.

We have serviced our neighbors for over 60 years and have learned healthy, vibrant communities start at home. With your help, we can support seniors, children, and families in the tri-county area so all can experience wellbeing and comfort going into 2025.

Our tri-county area neighbors benefit when you invest:

• $30 provides a family in need with a gas card or a box of diapers
• $60 pays for a week of home-delivered meals for a senior neighbor or one bag of groceries for a family of 4 facing hunger 
• $100 provides rental assistance for families on the brink of homelessness, including those who are living in their cars
• $250 keeps the heat on in a neighbor’s home for 30-45 days
