Sauer Health Care

Surrounded by the beautiful bluffs of Winona, Sauer Health Care strives to enhance the quality of life for all of our residents through personalized care and unique inclusive activities and social entertainment.  Sauer Health Care is a seventy-one (71) bed facility with all beds certified for Federal Medicare and State of Minnesota Medical Assistance.  We are able to provide individualized, compassionate quality services for a variety of conditions.  Under normal conditions, annual giving helps SHC to bridge the shortfall between the actual cost of care and the amount reimbursed through government assistance programs. 

Due to the global pandemic, our facility has elected to limit our resident occupancy to ensure each resident has a private room, with isolation rooms in reserve.  While this ensures the safest possible environment for our residents, it poses unique challenges to meet the extraordinary needs of our most vulnerable population.  Our committed team of nursing, dietary, home making, therapy, recreation and social service staff are working tirelessly to maintain the spiritual,  physical and social needs of each and every resident.  We are so appreciative of and encouraged by the continued support we receive from the community near and far! 

Through the generosity of annual giving, Sauer Health Care is able to provide spiritual and social programming, respond to emergencies like COVID-19,  invest in technology to keep families connected to their loved ones, purchase essential supplies, and other needs like these.   Thank you for your gift.
