Salem Historical Church stands tall and stately on the prairie in Central Minnesota.  Built in 1897 it was the heart and hub of this farming community  for more than 70 years.   Evangelical Germans built the sturdy yellow brick church with the spectacular stained glass windows after the first wooden church was destroyed by a series of storms.  In 1968 through mergers over the years, Salem's people were 'Evangelical United Brethren'.  Closed to regular Sunday worship in 1968 when the denomination merged with the Methodists, it remains available for special events such as the annual 'Salem Fest'  held every August since closing and the Christmas program in December.   Weddings and funerals are held at Salem as well.   Please put Salem in your giving plans so it can be restored and preserved for generations to come.
