For over half a century, Sabathani Community Center has been inspiring people of all ages and cultures to improve their lives and contribute to a thriving South Minneapolis community. 

We need your support to sustain and grow our vital programs, reaching everyone in our community with the opportunity to prosper with nourishing food, livable-wage careers, and meaningful connections.

As a Black-led institution, we serve as a resilience hub for the diverse South Minneapolis community, offering a range of resources that promote health, wealth, and well-being. 

OUr IMPACT: 

• In 2023, our Food Distribution Center has already provided more than half a million pounds of food to those in need, a whopping 51% increase from the previous year.  
• In 2023, we introduced the Environmental Sustainability Academy and Open Doors, programs connecting youth to career-building opportunities. And we launched the Sabathani Better Together initiative, focused on enhancing diabetes care and awareness in our community. 
• Our Community Energy Project endeavors to transform our 188,000 square-foot building into a model of renewable energy and climate justice.
