The SkiDox teaches youth, adults, disabled individuals and veterans how to water ski and competes in show ski team competitions.
The SkiDox Water Ski Team (formerly known as the Rochester Water Ski Team) has been providing family entertainment since the 1950s. In addition to being a competition show ski team, they are committed to helping others and to the sustainability of the sport of water skiing. For many years, the team has hosted the Ironwood Springs National Wheelchair Sports Camp water ski day. The team also hosts a Wounded Warrior Learn to Ski Day and has created an Adaptive Learn to Ski program. Theses programs have benefited hundreds of individuals who would be unable to get on to the water and learn to water ski using conventional methods. Currently, the team is looking to purchase a wheelchair lift that would safely get individuals in wheelchairs in and out of the water.
