Free Health Care Services and Community Resources for Uninsured and Underinsured
The River Valley Community Partnership d/b/a River Valley Nursing Center was established in 2005 to address the unmet healthcare needs of those in our community that did not have health insurance. Founded by community partners: Allina Health, CAP Agency, Carver County Public Health, Park Nicollet Health Services, Scott County Public Health, St Francis Regional Medical Center, and St Mary's Health Clinics, each is actively engaged in supporting the mission and success of the River Valley Nursing Center and helping those in our community.
The River Valley Nursing Center serves uninsured and underinsured people in Scott and Carver counties; connecting them to local resources and free or low-cost health care services. Our services are free and no appointments are needed. While utilizing the leadership role of the nurse, our care is provided by a MN LIcensed Registered Nurse/Public Health Nurse and a Bi-lingual Spanish Interpreter/Community Outreach Worker. We have walk-in center times on Monday from 1pm - 6pm at 752 Canterbury Road in Shakopee (next to the CAP Agency) and Tuesdays from 1pm - 5pm at 303 East 6th Street in Chaska (East Creek Family Center). We have a flexible model and can take our services into the community and provide care at a church, community center, or other venue where we can reach a community of people.
