Caring for Children - Early Learning Center
Richfield United Methodist Church turns 170 in 2024 and we are doing our part to build a world in which all may live in faith, justice, and joy.
Richfield UMC makes smiles in the neighborhood. We are at events like Penn Fest and host events on campus like concerts, guest speaker forums, craft fairs, coffee cart day, Girl Scout troop meetings, Trunk-or-Treat, and an Easter Egg Hunt! We do hands-on service projects to put faith into action, including assembling hurricane relief clean-up kits, donation drives for local food shelves, and creating welcome kits for new neighbors rising from homelessness and for refugees newly arriving in Minnesota. We are boots on the ground when we send teens on mission trips, advocate for fair & affordable housing, and partner with vetted local and national organizations focused on community outreach.
Richfield UMC has an inclusive Sunday School ministry with trained volunteers and staff who love to work with children across the neuro-diversity spectrum! We own and operate Caring for Children early learning center. For 40 years and going, CFC provides care for infants through Pre-K in a safe, loving environment, and during the COVID-19 pandemic, we were proud to be able to keep CFC open so first responder families had quality care for their children.
Richfield UMC has a lively and meaningful worship service on Sundays at 9:30 am (in-person, online, and by phone), a variety of small groups, book studies, and Bible studies, a robust pastoral care system with special focus on seniors, and works with vetted partner organizations locally and around the world to improve the lives of neighbors near and far.
