Rice County United Way's Imagination Library

Dolly Parton was inspired to launch Imagination Library by her father, who was unable to read or write. She wanted to plant the seeds for children to grow up and achieve their dreams by being able to read. Her popular program sends a book a month home to local children. It is FREE to families, but United Way pays for it locally and we need donations to keep it going. We are asking you to sponsor a child. Currently more than 1500 children -- nearly half of children in Rice County -- are enrolled. Our goal is to enroll 1700 children.

When you sponsor a child for Imagination Library from birth to age 5, you get a ticket to our upcoming Dolly Parton's Birthday Bash, Friday, January 19, 2024 at the Northfield Armory! That's a $30 ticket for each $150 sponsorship.
