Rhythmically Speaking

In support of our mission to spark vibrancy and connectedness through jazz and American social dance ideas, we're asking you to:

POWER UP our PEOPLE!

Something we love about the ART of DANCE is that its medium is PEOPLE. And jazz dance in particular celebrates PEOPLE! When we jazz dance, we are generally not sylphs, fairies or abstract concepts. We're PEOPLE relating to one another in the here and now, and encouraging you to do the same. We're the PEOPLE who create, perform and teach to spark inspiration in our community.

This Give to the Max Day - 11/20 - your support will go directly to the PEOPLE who tender and tend that spark!

2025-2026 marks our 18th season, and we are very proud that year over year, 85-90% of our annual budget goes to the PEOPLE we work with:

• Leadership - Artistic & Executive Director and Artistic & Administrative Associates (with guidance from our volunteer Advisory Board): From the minutiae of booking rehearsal space to the meta of strategizing how to make the most positive impact we can, these are the folks who are getting it done behind the scenes, day in and day out. 
• Performers - Company Dancers: As a group of eleven people with overlapping yet unique flair, these are the folks who come together to bring our spark-igniting work to life.
• Creators - Choreographers: As creatives who graft their distinctive approaches onto the historied dance forms we work within, these are the folks whose inspired creations put you in conversation with history, others, yourself and the moment.
• Design Artists - Lighting Designer and Stage Manager: The people who bring their live performance design and management expertise to our team for shows, these are the folks who literally light up the work.

With public and private arts funding becoming less reliable, individual donors like you are critical to the success of our work inspiring people through jazz and American social dance ideas.
