Rgk Dance Academy

RGK Dance Academy’ 2004 is a Minnesota nonprofit dance academy whose mission is to preserve and promote the Indian cultural heritage and bring social impact in our communities through creative performing arts and bring the community together. We are committed to empowering women and children through the annual fundraising productions and other theatre performances.

We stand for decency, love, and respect for all and envision a positive, creative, and sustainable world enriched by art.

We serve as a leading voice for exhilarating and beautiful Bollywood, Folk, Contemporary, Semi Classical, Modern Indian dance movements. This professional academy is acclaimed for its diverse and versatile artists, students, performing work that draws together modern dance, Indian classical Kathak, Folk and the Western dancing, like Salsa, hip-hop, Break and Ballroom dancing. 

RGK we celebrate youth and makes learning fun: Students participate in creation, interpretations and production of an original art inspired by culture of India.  RGK not only teaches Bollywood dancing, but we offer our students opportunities to perform and experience theater arts. Since its founding, the Academy has served over 1800 plus students and created more than 88 innovative new works both locally and internationally, including RGK Dance Academy’s Eighteen annual musical Bollywood dance drama.

Recently these productions have been critically acclaimed at theater festivals like the Fringe Festival in Minnesota.  We believe that every child is deserving of respect, love, food, and education.
