RJCA Accomplishments: We have resolved over 7,000 cases throughout the Twin Cities. We also added over 80 Interact meetings to our programming, which are face to face conversations between referred participants and police officers. In addition, over 200 people have attended our "Community Conversations: Understanding and Addressing Implicit Bias".  RJCA has expanded leadership positions for these Implicit Bias conversations.

Restorative Justice Community Action brings residents of Hennepin County and Minneapolis together with people who have committed livability crimes in their area. Together they participate in a restorative justice process that strengthens accountability and opens a line of communication between the offender and those harmed.

RJCA "community conferences" bring together offenders and community members from local neighborhoods in a small group. In each community conference, trained facilitators guide a respectful discussion about the impact of the offenses. The referred participants are given an opportunity to acknowledge the harm they have caused and repair it by contributing to the community in constructive and positive ways.

Repairing the harm usually consists of community service projects or personal development to help offenders avoid future crimes.
