Resilient Cities & Communities

Visionary People. Vibrant Places. Regenerative Futures.

Our planet and our communities have never faced a more troubling set of environmental, social, and health-related threats than this year, 2020. It will truly require visionary people to pull together, organize and act to revitalize our communities, inspire city leadership, and protect our future.

Luckily in Minnesota, there is an organization that is working hard to repair and restore our natural and human systems in ways that will allow all of us, together, to thrive in Resilient Cities & Communities.

We are a vast network of thousands of equity and climate resilience champions making an impact. RCC brings community and city leaders together in action. We convene visionary people who value lifting up the wisdom of local citizens to advance equitable policies and make investments benefiting marginalized people and restoring the environment.

There’s a role for every citizen to play in this work, and our organization welcomes your activism and your support.

Your contribution of $25 per month or $50, $100, $250, $500, or any amount that you are comfortable with will seed the evolution of the work to include sustainability, resilience, and regenerative futures.

With your support, we are engaging a peer-learning network of 50 metro cities that are implementing equitable strategies to eliminate disparities and build climate and community resilience including:

  • Passing and implementing equitable climate action plans.
  • Taking action together to expand access to solar, affordable housing, EVs and transit, urban forestry, zero-waste, safe bike routes, and walkable communities.
  • Strengthening local sustainability commissions to elevate the voices of young people.
  • Co-convening the first of its kind cohort of local Elected BIPOC Leaders to support each other, identify local priorities and move an equitable resilience agenda.

The launch of RCC is possible because of you. Because you recognize the need to seed this emergent effort and position it for growth. On behalf of the Resilient Cities & Communities Founding Team and Board,  we wish to thank you for all you do to steward our vision.
