Support Safety. Strength. Hope. 💜

Relationship Safety Alliance (formerly Mid-Minnesota Women’s Center) continues to serve as a lifeline for individuals and families experiencing relationship abuse throughout Central Minnesota’s Region 5+ — including Crow Wing, Cass, Morrison, Todd, Wadena, and Aitkin Counties.

As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit led by a volunteer board and dedicated staff, we provide all of our services free of charge thanks to the generosity of donors, community partners, and grant funding. Your support helps survivors find safety, stability, and healing — and moves us closer to a future where violence is no longer tolerated and every abuser is held accountable.

The Louise Seliski Shelter

At the Louise Seliski Shelter, we believe no one deserves or wants to be abused. Survivors often stay because they have nowhere else to go and are afraid. Our 7,239-square-foot shelter provides a safe, supportive space where adults, children, and their pets can begin to rebuild their lives.

Last year, our shelter provided safety and support to 932 individuals through 3,740 bed nights and 303 support groups. We remain the only 24-hour domestic violence shelter in Region 5+, though we never turn away survivors based on geography.

The Alex & Brandon Child Safety Center

At the Alex & Brandon Child Safety Center, we believe every child deserves a safe and healthy relationship with their parents. Named in memory of two young brothers lost to domestic violence, the Center has offered supervised visits and safe exchanges since 2000 to help prevent future tragedies.

Last year, we facilitated 951 supervised visits, 339 safe exchanges, and 149 new family intakes across 14 counties. The Center operates 365 days a year, serving families in crisis, including those involved in foster care and adoption.

Our Mission in Action

Each day, RSA provides:

  • 24-hour shelter intake and crisis hotline

  • On-scene and court advocacy

  • Criminal justice intervention and victim support

  • Assistance with protective orders

  • Supervised parenting time and exchanges

  • Support groups, referrals, and community education

We are deeply grateful for our 172 volunteers, who last year contributed over 867 hours to help us provide comfort, safety, and hope to those in need.

A message from Relationship Safety Alliance’s Board of Directors:

We believe every person has the right to live free from fear and to be protected by the community around them. Your support helps ensure that survivors have a safe place to turn, where they can begin to heal and rebuild their lives.

We give because we care — and we invite you to join us. 💜
