Mission

“Stimulating Arts in Northern Minnesota.”  The underlying principle guiding our mission is to offer a diverse mix of performing and visual arts--to be experienced, exhibited and taught--and this is fleshed out in six values statements:

Programming

The Reif has been a regional arts presenter in North-Central Minnesota for over 40 years. Our primary function is presenting top-notch live arts events for the region. We typically present 35-50 touring events each year featuring artists from all over the  world. We also strive to support local artists and look for innovative ways to collaborate with other local arts organizations.

These activities are critical to what we do, but equally important is our arts education and community outreach programming. We focus heavily on dance lessons, intro to music, filmmaking, and theater arts for students aged pre-school through adults. Collectively, we have over 250 students across these programs. We also present daytime, bus-in, live arts events for area schools that travel up to 100 miles one-way. We serve 7,500 students annually with this programming. And finally, we offer daytime, midweek bus-in matinee events that allow older adults and those in assisted living facilities the chance to attend events on days and at times that work best for them. Any contributions received will help us continue to expand on these critical arts education and outreach opportunities.
