In light of the latest news about the coronavirus (COVID-19) and following a great deal of consideration, Red Eye recently made the difficult decision to postpone the opening of Theo Langason’s Welcome Home//Home Edition until Fall 2020.

As you might imagine (or know firsthand), virus-related concerns about social gatherings are hitting the performing arts community hard. Please note that Red Eye is committed to ensuring the artists and staff who have been working on Welcome Home//Home Edition do not lose income that they had been counting on. Red Eye also currently is moving forward with plans for our New Works 4 Weeks Festival, featuring five new works-in-progress and six world premiere productions by some of the Twin Cities' most groundbreaking artists, scheduled for May 28-June 21, 2020; and we continue to move forward with efforts to secure and build out a new physical home, which will serve as a vibrant hub for contemporary performance.

As we strive to take good care of our community despite the loss of ticket sales and shifts in arts funding, please consider making a donation to Red Eye this spring. Your support means more than ever right now! Contributions can be made online at or mailed to Red Eye Theater, PO Box 80666, Minneapolis, MN 55408.

Every dollar goes directly to supporting working artists and nurturing connections between artists, audiences, and ideas. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for playing a crucial role in this work!
