Reclaim Entertainment

Bringing a breath of fresh air to both artists and audiences.

Reclaim Entertainment was created with a vision to redeem popular entertainment - starting with the theatre - returning it to the moorings of excellence, truth and beauty which were once so secure. This will be achieved by encouraging artists, connecting audiences, engaging the community, and influencing the culture. There have been many unsuccessful attempts to improve the quality of entertainment by complaining, grumbling and pointing out the failings of current productions.But there has been little encouragement for artists to create truly beautiful, excellent, and truthful works; and the audiences who desire this kind of work have been woefully under-served. Reclaim Entertainment seeks to address this gap. 

Reclaim Entertainment is not a theatre troupe. It is an umbrella organization, connecting artists with audiences and reaching out to the community. 

For artists:
Reclaim Entertainment will encourage creativity through grants, public readings, collaboration with theatre troupes, mentoring, and connection with audiences.

For audiences:
Reclaim will be a trusted resource for show recommendations and tools, such as conversation starters about important ideas introduced by performances. We also hope to provide group attendance coordination and an opportunity for audience members to share their comments and recommendations with one another. The goal is to revitalize interest in the theatre for a large audience that has found little worth attending.

For the community:
Reclaim Entertainment plans to have a performance space, training and, hopefully, internships for students who wish to pursue a career in the theatre. As a focal point in the community, Reclaim will expand the opportunities for all to share life-enriching entertainment.
