Where would our community be without the River Bluff Humane Society?

Pets are an important part of many people's lives. They comfort us when we are sad, they bring us joy when we arrive home from work or school and they give us a reason to get out and get moving. Pets make a significant impact on our lives, help us continue making an impact on the lives of those that don't have loving homes yet. Donating to River Bluff Humane Society (RBHS) allows us to continue our mission of helping the stray and abandoned dogs and cats in our community that need food, shelter and basic veterinary care. RBHS is the impound facility serving Goodhue County, Hastings, MN and parts of Pierce County. If your pet goes missing in any of these areas, we are here to help care for them until you are able to be reunited

Because of the contributions in 2023 from people like you, 436 stray animals had a safe place to stay while they waited to find their forever home, 103 lost pets were reunited with their families, and 267 families welcomed a pet into their lives. So far in 2024 we have helped 299 stray animals, 65 have been reunited with their owners and 171 animals have been adopted into new homes. The year isn't over yet!!

Your donations are the lifeline for our organization and a big reason we are able to full fill our mission. Your generous funding efforts pay for the costs of operating the facility which includes staffing and building operations as well as costs of veterinary care and medications the animals require. It also allows us to participate in community events and upgrade essential equipment in the facility. The most important part of RBHS is the fact that no animal is adopted to a family unless it has been spayed or neutered, up to date on vaccinations and microchipped. We believe in this policy so we do not add to the numbers of unwanted dogs and cats in the community and increase the number of animals sitting in shelters.
