Raising Hope for a Cure

Raising Hope For A Cure is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization whose mission is to bring hope to those affected by ALS (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis) and FTD (fronto-temporal degeneration), by raising funds for critical medical research to discover new treatments and cures for these devastating neuro-degenerative diseases.

Raising Hope For A Cure hosts fundraising activities throughout the year. Our primary fundraiser is an annual event called "Hops For Hope", Hosted in New Prague, MN -- through 2025, Hops For Hope has raised over $475,000 for critical research. All of the money raised by Raising Hope For A Cure is donated to The ALS Association (ALSA) and The Association for FTD (AFTD) to fund promising medical research projects they sponsor to find new therapies, giving hope to those living with ALS and FTD.

For example:  this past year, Raising Hope For A Cure was able to earmark $50,000 for a seed grant to launch a specific research study that will test thousands of drug compounds as potential new therapies for ALS and FTD. The research study is being led by Kevin Rhine, PhD, in his lab at the University of Arizona, Tucson.
