Raise The Barr

Raise The Barr aims to increase opportunity and economic mobility for single-parent families through higher education, career development, and housing. Inspired by our co-founders, Lori Barr and her son, retired Minnesota Vikings Pro Bowl Linebacker Anthony Barr, we support single parents and their children through their educational pursuits because we believe they possess the ability and strength to produce inspiring outcomes.

During Give To the Max, Anthony has pledged to supercharge every first-time donor's gift to Raise The Barr by adding $200 to your gift. For all returning donors, he will add $100 to your gifts.

Some of our notable outcomes since our founding in 2016:

• RTB has awarded over $1.125 million in basic needs support, housing stability, emergency grants, and tuition to single-parent scholars in Minnesota and California.
• 97% of our scholars remain enrolled or have graduated.
• 92% of our scholars are single mothers. 80% of our scholars are Asian, Black, Indigenous, or People of Color.
• 100% of scholars remained in, or secured, safe and stable housing during their time at RTB.
