The Ragamala Experience

Bharatanatyam practitioners and mother/daughters Aparna, Ranee, and Ashwini Ramaswamy’s artistry captures the depth of South Indian embodied ritual with rigor, intention, and emotion.

Ragamala means ‘garland of melodies’

Our work weaves together movement, music, and poetry in a joyous celebration of nature and the sacred. Our pioneering, intergenerational, family-run organization epitomizes intercultural and immigrant narratives that evoke a shared sense of humanity.

We inspire joy

Dance is a primordial form of communication. We see Bharatanatyam’s spiritual and ecological roots as a way to inspire joy in ourselves and our surroundings.

Join the family
Ragamala's Board of Directors will generously match all Give to the Max Day donations (including early giving) up to $10,000!
