Prospect Park 2020

Promoting a vision for development near the Prospect Park light rail station

Prospect Park 2020 is a grassroots, all-volunteer 501c3 organization, formed to re-imagine and inspire redevelopment within the area surrounding Minneapolis' Prospect Park light rail station.  PP2020 promotes innovative design that encourages healthy living, life-long learning, and arts and culture.

The neighborhood vision calls for a transit oriented city-within-a-city that is a replicable model for 21st century sustainable urban living... well-designed places to live, work, learn, conduct business and play.  PP2020 advocates for public green spaces, diverse housing opportunities, district systems for water and energy, as well as pedestrian and bicycle friendly environments.

Prospect Park 2020 has an ambitious vision for the future of urban living and depends heavily on the generosity of individual donors to support its lean operations.  

Funds donated to Prospect Park 2020 support information sessions, area tours and community gatherings to promote its vision as well as overhead costs associated with office space and basic operational expenses.  In addition to financial support, Prospect Park 2020 seeks neighborhood volunteers to help refine and implement its vision.
