Lao Arts and Culture Collective (LACC) is committed to preserving and promoting Lao heritage in Minnesota. We are a volunteer-led team that aims to empower Lao youths, celebrate culture, and strengthen community bonds.

Our flagship program is our annual Lao Summer Camp, an intensive week-long camp designed to preserve Lao heritage while empowering the next generation through workshops tailored for Lao youths, cultural performances, and mentorship from Lao elders and community leaders. Your support helps us bring this important experience to Minnesota's Lao youths and helps them gain:

• culturally appropriate learning of traditional arts (including musical instruments, dance, visual arts, and culture)
• new perspectives by learning directly from community elders and leaders
• confidence in identity by building a supportive network of peers

Your support makes a tangible impact by:

• providing scholarships for students facing financial barriers
• supplying materials for hands-on workshops and cultural activities.
• funding honorariums for cultural ambassadors, guest speakers, and workshop leaders and elders.
• providing opportunities for participants to share their skills with their families and the larger community

2025 Lao Summer Camp By-The-Numbers:

• 25 youth participants (ages 7 - 16)
• 15 adult volunteers (317+ hours of volunteer hours!) participated during the camp
• 1 amazing showcase with 100+ family and community members in attendance
• 11 different traditional Lao instruments were learned and played by youth participant
• 4 local organizations/local businesses contributed in-kind support
