The Plymouth Concert Band was established in 1998 to enhance the sense of community of the City of Plymouth through classic and contemporary concert band music. The group strongly emphasizes quality through its direction, musical literature, commitment of the players, and rehearsal requirements. The Band is composed of over 55 members from Plymouth and the surrounding communities. We all share in one thing, our love of music and the desire to bring the arts to the citizens of Plymouth. The band is very fortunate to have a cooperative effort between the Plymouth Fine Arts Council, members of Plymouth City staff and government, local school districts as well as local musicians and educators. Any donations received go toward providing scholarships for local high school students who participate in a solo competition, as well as towards inviting guest artists to perform on concerts with the band.
