Plymouth Rockers Performing Senior Chorus

A nonprofit organization

The Plymouth Rockers Performing Senior Chorus, supported by the City of Plymouth and the Metropolitan Regional Arts Council grant, is a 503c non-profit.  For 30 years, they have provided musical concerts to people in memory care, assisted living, nursing homes, church groups, senior centers and business groups for people who might not otherwise be able to attend a concert.  The 75-member chorus sings 30-40 concerts a year using a mixture of 40’s and 50’s hits, show tunes, folk, spirituals, and patriotic songs.  The Plymouth Rockers also sing two free public concerts a year, one during the Holiday season in December and another in late spring.  Additionally, they entertain at outdoor venues such as the Minnesota State Fair, the Hilde Center and the Minneapolis Parks.  The volunteer members from 18 Twin Cities communities are under the direction of David Halligan and accompanied by Jim Anderson.  They rehearse two hours each week and have become a premier singing group.  Donations will help to continue their mission to provide fellowship by singing together for member enjoyment and to provide entertainment and enjoyment for others in the community.
