In a world where so much media comes from somewhere else, Pioneer PBS exists to make sure rural communities have a place to see themselves, hear their neighbors and tell their own stories. 

We preserve the history of small towns and the people who make them special. We introduce children to new ideas and connect communities through the stories that reflect who we are. We give a Veteran a place to share his story. A place for someone to share their culture. At Pioneer PBS, we take pride in our Emmy-awarded local productions that bring the voices of our rural communities to the world. We are yours!

Pioneer PBS is responding to the challenges created by federal funding cuts by finding new ways to serve, connect and tell the stories that matter to our communities. Initiatives like State of Care, a new documentary series being produced by Pioneer PBS, exploring the triumphs, structural hurdles and personal frontline experiences within America's healthcare system. Through thoughtful, locally rooted storytelling, we're continuing to create meaningful public media that informs, reflects and serves the people who count on us.
