PERIS Foundation

At PERIS, our goal is to interrupt the foster-care-to-homelessness pipeline through an environment of supported autonomy and interconnected independence. 

Located in downtown Minneapolis, our PERIS Hill complex is a thoughtfully designed, mixed-income apartment building that offers market-rate amenities alongside deeply affordable units. With a nearly 5:1 tenant-to-staff ratio, residents have access to individualized support in areas such as relationship building, education and employment navigation, financial guidance, and mental health resources.

From a stable home and mailing address to job coaching, therapy, and budgeting guidance, we aim to provide everything needed to help those aging out of foster care thrive. 

And a three-year external case study has confirmed, our model is working:

In 2026 we're excited to once again be shaking things up with an innovative wealth-building tool we're calling LAUNCH PAD. 

In its simplest form, LAUNCH PAD is a savings program that offsets increases in resident's costs of living caused by subsidy reductions with equal deposits into high-yield savings accounts.

Our hope with LAUNCH PAD is to build greater freedom, responsibility, and autonomy in residents - which (along with their Launch Pad savings) we know will serve them well as they contemplate a future away from PERIS Hill.
