With Pass Down The Gown, every student can celebrate milestones like prom and homecoming with confidence and sustainability, without the cost. And every donor helps make it possible.

Your support keeps formalwear accessible for everyone through our free dress-renting service for special events. What began eight years ago with one high school student asking friends to donate their prom dresses has grown into a volunteer-run nonprofit powered by 31 high school students, serving communities across Minnesota and beyond.

With Pass Down The Gown:

• Students can attend their events without financial stress.
• Gently used dresses get a second life instead of sitting in closets.
• Volunteers gain leadership and event-planning experience while giving back to their peers.

Your gift supports this all-volunteer effort by covering cleaning, storage, and shipping for hundreds of dresses, and by funding school pop-ups that let students browse in person.You also empower our volunteers to gain leadership and community-building experience as they run every part of this organization, from marketing to fundraising.

A $25 gift provides free dresses to three students, no matter where they’re located.

A $100 gift powers two high school events where we bring dresses directly to students
