Parnassus Preparatory School

Since opening our doors in 2011, Parnassus Preparatory School has expanded to serve about 1360 students from Prima - Fourth Level Rhetoric (K-12). We have sent eight graduating classes off to pursue their college studies and we look forward to graduating many more classical scholars for years to come. 

Our rich curriculum and beautiful campus support our goal of providing an elite classical education for all.  Families choose Parnassus for our rigorous, classical education as well as our high academic standards, rivaling the best education offered anywhere. U.S. In 2025, Parnassus was once again ranked as one of US News & World Report’s Best High Schools.

As a charter school, we receive state funding for most, but not all, of our programs since we do not receive the local funds that traditional public schools receive. In a time of rising costs and an uncertain funding outlook, your gifts and donations play an important role in supporting the work of our school.

Earlier this year, we unexpectedly lost our founding Executive Director, Ms. Ford. Give to the Max was one of Ms. Ford's favorite days of the year and she delighted in connecting with donors and members of our school community. Every gift helps us as we work to fulfill our mission to provide our students with a classical education that is grounded in the classical Trivium, but this year, we are asking those of you who have never before participated to consider donating $14 in honor of Ms. Ford's 14 years at Parnassus.
