Padoc Area Scholars Society USA

A nonprofit organization

Poverty and conflict have closed the doors of higher education to too many young South Sudanese especially young women with the will to learn but not the means in the #1 poorest country in the world - South Sudan!

Padoc Area Scholars Society, USA (PASS) supports South Sudanese youth, especially young women, to rise above extreme poverty through education, access, and opportunity.

For years, the Padoc Area Scholars Society, USA (PASS) has worked to make higher education accessible for South Sudanese youth displaced by war and poverty. Through our scholarship program, we’re currently supporting over 400 scholars studying in South Sudan, and refugees in Uganda, Kenya, and Ethiopia — ensuring they not only enroll in college but also have the resources to stay, graduate, and lead. Students are pursuing 4-year university degrees and 3-year technical college degrees.

PASS Scholarships cover tuition, books, and transportation costs. Donors can choose among several levels of sponsorships  or make a general donation.

Every dollar gift changes the life of an entire generation, uplifts the life of a South Sudanese youth or young woman and gives them an opportunity to escape extreme poverty.
