Mission

The Early Childhood Parent Teacher Organization (ECPTO) of District #279 is dedicated to advising the Early Childhood staff on the design, monitoring, and content of Early Childhood programming, based on the philosophy that the family is the most significant influence on the development of the child in the early years.

ECPTO supports the district mission statement by providing high quality early education experiences for children and parents in order to optimize school success, strengthen family relationships, and connect families with their local community.

ECPTO partners with EC&FE to advise on its goals

• Increase participation of Families:

  • With infants and toddlers

  • From Various backgrounds

  • In our school district in Brooklyn Park & Brooklyn Center

  • In ECFE, parent-child classes
