My name is Pastor Daniel Gudu. I was born in Ethiopia and came to United States of America In April 1999. Now I am Oromo American citizen. After 15 years in United States it is my dream and God`s calling, along with my wife Ebise, and our daughter Nahimi, to go back to Ethiopia and build a Christian School.

Our vision for Buraayyu Bethel Elementary School in Oromia, Ethiopia will provide affordable education and community resources to empower poor communities.

The area targeted to start this Christian school contains extremely poor communities where Muslims  dominate.  Muslims are rapidly increasing in financial power and politically suppressing the Ethiopian Christian population. Starting a Christian School in the Oromo language will help in reach Muslims, parents and their children with the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ – as well as  Spiritual and physical healing for these poor communities.

This Christian School will teach children to read in their native language and English. We hope to use the Holy Bible as a primary text by a strong Christian school faculty of eight, including myself as the principal.

This Christian School will be located in the central Oromia region of Ethiopia, in the city of Addis Ababa the capitol of Ethiopia. Addis Ababa is a central location for the Oromo from the East, West, North and South. The Oromo make up a significant portion of the population occupying the horn of Africa. In the Ethiopia empire alone Oromo constitute about 42 million of the 81 million people in Ethiopia. This large population is unable to hear the gospel of Jesus Christ in their own culture and language because of ruling class politics.
