Orion Women's Cycling Team

A nonprofit organization

Orion Women's Cycling is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that educates women/trans/femme cyclists on advanced racing skills within a supportive team environment.

Orion Women's Cycling works to minimize the practical and financial challenges for their athletes while maximizing the opportunities to develop their athletes for racing at national events.  Orion Women's Cycling offers cyclists the opportunity to race with an established cycling team and develop their skills at the highest level of American bicycle racing.  Orion's ability to provide meaningful financial support to team members is critical to allowing athletes to train and compete at an elite level.

Additionally, Orion is committed to strengthening our communities.  We have seen firsthand the transformation that is possible on a bike and look to share those challenges and joys with others.   Our work outside of racing is mainly geared toward kids and beginning adult racers.  We are mentors in youth development programs, support elementary school programs in bicycle-based science and health programs, host informational panels and skills clinics for new racers of all ages.   Sharing our knowledge and skills is a top priority.

“As one of Orion Racing’s founding members, I have found it very fulfilling to watch our team’s developing riders move into leadership roles, both on the bike and in the community. Seeing teammates’ confidence grow is a big goal - this athletic confidence translates into all aspects of their lives. Creating a supportive and challenging environment for this growth takes time and resources and I am grateful for all of the support we are provided” Orion Racing President Carrie Seipp
