Over the past 53 years Operation Bootstrap Africa (OBA) has helped villagers build 3,200+ classrooms in Tanzania alone, through local self-help partnerships. OBA also funds teacher salaries for 1,200 primary-school students in Madagascar.

OBA funds the first-of-its-kind MaaSae Girls Lutheran Secondary School, providing critical educational opportunities to young women of the Maasai and other semi-nomadic people.

In Tanzania, dozens of promising young people are in colleges, universities, or vocational training programs through OBA scholarships, including a critical physicians and nurses training program.
