Open Cupboard (formerly known as CCEFS) has grown and expanded over the past year, but the need for our services continues to grow.

Help families like Gina’s this holiday season put fresh, healthy food on the table. After learning about Today’s Harvest, it still took Gina a few months to come through the door. As a single mother of two young boys, Gina didn’t think that the market would be all that helpful—imagining that it would only provide a few things to put into school lunches. When she finally walked through the open door, she was amazed at the two grocery bags of food she left with. Now, she and her sons love coming to the “food place,” which helps provide her family with fresh, healthy food.

Gina’s family is not unique in their struggles of needing help. For many families, Open Cupboard helps cover the gap their paycheck leaves behind. That savings bring stability to families – helping them stay warm this winter, fill up their cars with gas, or breathe a little easier knowing there is food in the fridge. As another shopper, Susan, shared:

"This helps. The food really does give me peace of mind. And that helps a lot."

We’re committed to meeting our community’s needs, and our programs offer fresh and healthy food in many different ways – including drive-up services, Today’s Harvest, Mobile Food Shelf distributions at senior centers and mobile home communities, and home deliveries. We’re here to serve our community - but we need your help to keep up with the rising need. 

Donors like you have helped us rise to the challenge over the past few years. We’ve grown from serving an average of 420 households each week to serving more than 4,000 households per week. With your support, families like Gina’s can have fresh, healthy food this holiday season and beyond.
